This month, we’re shining a spotlight on Barcelona Bites, whose Spanish cooking classes are creating opportunities for people to connect, learn, and share a love of food.

Held at Gather Cafe, these hands-on experiences provide a warm and welcoming space where participants can come together, learn new skills, and enjoy the simple pleasure of sharing good food.

Founded after a move from Melbourne to the Mornington Peninsula, Barcelona Bites was created to share the rich food traditions, flavours, and hospitality of Spain with the local community. Inspired by family recipes and memories of growing up in Barcelona, each class invites participants to prepare authentic Spanish dishes while connecting with others.

Community partnerships like this highlight the important role shared spaces play in bringing people together, supporting local businesses, celebrating culture, and creating opportunities for meaningful connection.
